Florida City

Located at the crossroads of Tropical South Florida, Homestead/Florida City serves as a gateway to the area?s many popular attractions. Only a few miles to the north is Miami, "Gateway to the Americas" offering all the glitz and glamour of the stars that roam South Beach, the hip, artsy atmosphere of Coconut Grove, and the Cuban flavor given by this international city?s many immigrants. Ten miles to the west the vast Everglades sprawl in subtropical splendor, offering visitors and residents a chance to explore nature in the only ecosystem of its kind in the world. Florida?s ubiquitous alligators roam these murky waters, as do manatees, fish and waterbirds of every kind. The marshland, mangrove islands and sawgrass prairies are also home to rare wildlife such as Florida panthers, alligators, crocodiles, manatees and waterbirds of every description. Just to the south the alluring Florida Keys? tranquil lagoons and sun drenched sands curve toward sunset, reaching far out into the Gulf.
